“No, no! We could modify this thing into a… uh…”
“Fortrex! A complete rolling fortress ready for battle, and spelled with an X! Because having an X in the name makes it cool and high-tech.”
Macy Halbert and Robin Underwood in "The Power of Merlok"

The Fortrex is the main base of operations of the Nexo Knights. Originally King and Queen Halbert's royal RV named Ye Old Royal RV, it was modified by Robin and Ava to become a rolling fortress.

The Knights constantly use it for everything from training to rest, as well as a general home. It is able to keep Merlok 2.0 downloaded, uploading Nexo Powers and is able to hold Techcalibur.

History[]

Prior to the series[]

The Fortrex was originally owned by King and Queen Halbert, which they used as their royal RV on holidays and for traveling.[2]

Season 5[]

After the defeat of the Stone Colossus, the Fortrex broke down and stopped working. Robin, Ava and Mechlok attempted to fix it, but weren't able to repair the computers, so they moved the computers and Nexo Power systems to the Rumble Rocket in hopes of salvaging any tech available.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Tommy Andreasen came up with the name of the Fortrex.[4]
  • It was prepared 2-3 years before it was shown in 2016. It had an excellent response from children when first shown.[5]
  • For the unproduced Season 5, Samuel Johnson built a sketch model for a Fortrex overtaken by Monstrox that had claws instead of treads and crawled along the ground.[6]
  • On the first Monday of set tests, a designer placed a mini-kitchen in the Fortrex, and included Chef-Bot in it. Mark Hoffmeier saw many children commenting on him, and included him in the television series.[7]
  • The Fortrex is the size of a movie theatre, or at least it was in the original concept.[8]
